Hello Everyone!!!
When I speak to people across the U.S. and abroad about business or attending classes, stress tends to be a common factor. Stress has been defined as "a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse and demanding circumstances." Sometime people are stressed and don't realize it. Stress can make you sick, if it's not managed correctly. Some of the most common causes of stress are as follows:
*Insecurity - Financial or Otherwise
*A Demanding Routine - Hectic Work Schedules, along with family routines, etc
.
*Interpersonal Conflicts - Disappointments, Arguments w/love ones, co-workers, etc.
*A Traumatic Experience - Death, Accidents, Health Issues, etc.
Stress affects people differently, as some self-medicate by drinking, taking street drugs, taking medications on a daily basis, sleeping long hours, and over indulging in foods, sexual behavior, etc. Depression is a result of stress and people feel "emotionally exhausted." A continuation of these behaviors will eventually cause health disorders and even a deterioration of relationships.
Stress increases your breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure. If not managed, it can keep your body feeling anxious and tense. A few keys to managing stress are as follows:
*Believe in the power of prayer and tap into it
*Confide in a trusted friend or family member or medical expert
*Do not continually focus on the problem
*Try to get adequate amounts of rest
*Try to stay calm when someone upsets you
*Learn to forgive people who have hurt you
In life, there will be stressful situations, even when you remain positive. Try to focus on the solutions and not the problems. Also, change your environment! If you are around negative people and in a bad situation, it may be time for a fresh start. Sometimes, we have to break free from negativity and bad situations, even when it's painful.
